Ecommerce VS Affiliate Marketing

Let me make myself perfectly clear I an not an expert on this subject. I have how ever been involved in both categories. So that beening said let me state my opinion on both subjects. Let's start with affiliate marketing. I would venture to guess that everyone having gotten involved with internet marketing has started with affiliate marketing. Like myself became frustrated after several months of nothing happening. Affiliates can be very successful, it takes time and patience. A lot of patience. Personally I had several years of patience. Not saying that there was not any success,just not enough to keep me going. It appeared to me that the only people making money were the, so called gurus that claimed to be broke restaurant owners, what a joke that is. They are mostly well educated and able to write great sales copy and newsletters. O.K. if you have time and patience and capital (money), go for it. Affiliate marketing is probably the easiest and cheapest if you have the afore mentioned traits. Ecommerce, this is a little more difficult for me to discuss. I have just started in ecommerce. How about 1 month and 1 week. I have just fallen in love with it. The right company and the right products will get you going. Does not even have to be a niche market. Although if you have a product that is unique even better. Don't have a product of your own not a problem. Just do a search for drop shipment companies. With these companies you can find thousands of products in every category. Just wanted to share my thoughts on internet marketing and maybe help some person that is thinking of taking the plunge.
